Rand is a pioneer in analytics-based digital marketing. He was founder and CEO of one of the first web-analytics companies, Keylime, which was purchased by Yahoo!, headed product development and marketing at Webtrends, was CMO of WebSideStory through its IPO, now Adobe Analytics, and was General Manager of Internet Products at Unica, now IBM. Rand is also a co-founder of the Digital Analytics Association, and a former trustee of the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation. He has created disruptive technologies, based on analytics and AI, at SRI and Qualcomm.

Jim is a proven strategic finance specialist with over 25 years of technology industry experience. He has held both senior operating executive roles, and investment banking advisor roles at numerous public and private businesses, in all stages of growth. Jim is a creative problem solver, team leader and corporate development expert. He has extensive experience in wireless IoT and SaaS businesses, serving B2B markets. Jim was a Vice President and Investment Banker at PainWebber and Kidder Peabody, and has a BS in Finance from the University of Southern California.
Chief Revenue Officer
Mark has been running internet and mobile businesses for over 20 years. After graduating top of his international MBA class at University of South Carolina, he co-founded a web agency and a mobile auctioning service in Europe in the late 1990’s. More recently he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Shopatron, acquired by Vista Equity Partners in 2015, and as Chief Marketing Officer of Experts Exchange, an online community of over 100k tech professionals. In between he managed agency relationships with Apple, Disney, Hilti, Swissair and HP.

Bill Lockyer is a nationally admired California lawmaker, administrative leader, former State Attorney General and former State Treasurer. Mr. Lockyer served eight years as Treasurer of California, and more than 25 years in the California State Legislature, more than half of that time in the State Senate. During the last four years of his Senate tenure, he was chosen by his peers to be President Pro Tempore, the most powerful position in the upper legislative house. Selected as President of the National Association of Attorneys General, Mr. Lockyer is widely regarded as one of the most effective Attorneys General in California history.

Dan is an experienced patent-holder, serial entrepreneur, and the founder of DMscore. He was also a founder of the digital analytics firm Brightscope, that currently has 90 employees, and a founding member of the Cal Poly Computer Science Department Industrial Advisory Board. Dan holds 5 patents, one as a Cal Poly student and 4 from his time with Hewlett Packard. Dan is currently the Entrepreneur-In-Residence for the business accelerator associated with the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in downtown San Luis Obispo.
Senator Jack O’Connell
Jack O’Connell served two terms as State Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State of California and twenty years as a State Senator and California Assembly Member. Jack was elected to the statewide position of State Superintendent of Public Instruction in November 2002 with 61% of the vote. He was re-elected to his post by receiving a majority (52%) of the vote in the Primary election on June 6, 2006, thus avoiding a November run-off.
Dr. Jonathan York
Dr. York is an entrepreneur and educator who has dedicated his career to teaching students entrepreneurship. He recently joined the faculty of the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly as the first professor dedicated to entrepreneurship. As a former CEO and consultant, he has worked for 15 years with entrepreneurial companies facing strategic and operational issues such as raising capital, marketing/sales development, human resources issues, board/investor relations, and product development. He has been on both sides of the venture financing, as a CEO and recipient of investment.
Russ Nash, CPA, is a Founding Partner, Founder, and Managing Partner at Professional Education Services. Russ is a former Director and Founding Member of Granite Community Bank, N.A. He is a Member of Advisory Board at DCA Capital Partners and is involved in the business and financial services investments of the firm. He has over 20 years experience starting and leading financial and business services companies.
